About Rology
Rology is an FDA-cleared, AI-powered teleradiology platform that bridges the global gap in radiology services, particularly in underserved and resource-constrained regions across Africa and the Middle East. Operating across multiple countries in the MEA region, Rology connects healthcare facilities with a network of subspecialized radiologists via a seamless digital platform, enabling rapid, high-quality interpretation of medical imaging scans such as X-rays, CTs, MRIs, and ultrasounds. The platform addresses the critical shortage of radiologists and reduces report latency by matching cases from hospitals worldwide with the optimum radiologist remotely and instantly.
Founded in 2017, Rology leverages cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology integrated into its DICOM viewer to dramatically decrease reporting times and improve diagnostic accuracy. The AI-assisted platform automates and decentralizes imaging results, reducing reliance on scarce radiology expertise in low- and middle-income countries. With a turnaround time of within 12 hours for standard cases and as fast as 60 minutes for emergency situations, Rology has partnered with over 150 hospitals across nine countries in Africa and the Middle East, claiming to have positively impacted over 700,000 lives by 2024.
Rology has attracted significant investment to fuel its expansion across the Middle East and Africa. The company has raised $860,000 in funding from prominent investors including Egypt Ventures, Sequence Ventures, Waseel, Tawaref, Viktoria Ventures, HIM Angels, AAIC, DAI, and Cubit Ventures. This backing has enabled Rology to expand its operations into key markets including Saudi Arabia, Kenya, and Egypt, while continuing to innovate in AI-powered healthcare solutions that democratize access to quality radiology services in regions where they are needed most.
